Hobgoblin Japan Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) sets forth the following Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as “these Terms”) regarding the use of the online shop “The British Shop Online Store” operated by the Company (hereinafter referred to as “this Website”), including browsing this Website, purchasing products from this Website, buying and selling, and any services incidental thereto (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”).

2. Definition of “Membership Registration”

Some services on this Website may not be available unless users complete “Membership Registration” in advance.

“Membership Registration” enables the user to access such services by registering an ID and password.

3. Rules for Membership Registration

Registration information must be entered by the registrant themselves. Registration by proxy is not permitted.

Please register your name and name in Katakana correctly using your legal name. Registration under a name other than your legal name is not accepted.

Please register an email address that belongs to the registrant. Registration using another person’s email address is not accepted.

However, in cases where an email address is shared among multiple persons such as within a company, school, or family, registration may be permitted only if one person registers based on the consent of the other users of that shared email address. Even in such cases, use of the account shall be limited to the registrant.

Please register the address where products will be delivered, or the registrant’s address.

Please register the telephone number of the delivery destination, or the registrant’s telephone number.

4. Management of Member ID and Password

The registrant shall be responsible for managing their Member ID and password.

The Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from misuse, errors in use, or unauthorized use by a third party of the Member ID and password.

If the Member ID and/or password is stolen or found to be used by a third party, the registrant must immediately notify the Company and follow the Company’s instructions if any are provided.

5. Lending or Transfer of Member ID and Password

The lending, transfer, sale, or creation of security interests (such as pledging as collateral) of the Member ID and password to any third party is prohibited.

Use of the Member ID and password is limited to the registrant.

The Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from the lending, transfer, sale, or creation of security interests of the Member ID and password.

6. Sharing of Member ID and Password

Unless specifically approved by the Company, sharing of a Member ID and password among multiple persons is not permitted.

Use is limited to the registrant.

7. Changes to Registration Information

If there are any changes to the registered information, the registrant must promptly update their registration information.

8. Prohibited Conduct

The following acts are prohibited when using this Website and the Service.

If a user violates any of these prohibitions, the Company may suspend the provision of the Service or refuse any future transactions without prior notice. In addition, if the Company suffers damages due to the user’s violation, the user shall be responsible for compensating the Company for such damages.

  • Violation of the “Membership Registration” rules set forth in Article 3, or registration of false information

  • Acts in violation of laws or regulations

  • Acts that interfere with the operation of the Company or this Website

  • Repeated acts of placing orders based on false information, refusing to accept delivery of products, or canceling contracts without justifiable reasons

  • Inability to contact the member by telephone, email, or any other means

  • Unauthorized use of credit cards on this Website

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Any other acts deemed inappropriate or improper by the Company

9. Handling of Personal Information

The Company’s Privacy Policy shall apply to the submission of personal information through this online shop. Please refer to the Company’s Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer

Even if the Company has taken reasonable security measures, the Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from system interruptions, delays, or suspensions caused by failures in communication lines or computers, damages caused by unauthorized alteration of this Website, or damages caused by unauthorized access to data.

The Company does not guarantee that emails sent from the Company’s servers or domains, or content on this Website, will not contain harmful components such as computer viruses.

The Company may provide information or advice to members as appropriate; however, the Company shall not assume any responsibility for such information or advice.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan.

In the event of any dispute between the Company and a user regarding these Terms and/or the Service, both parties shall make good-faith efforts to resolve the dispute through consultation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through consultation, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
